Team Aubergine complete 12-mile Tough Mudder challenge

Bekki Tomkins

After 6 months of training that included long-distance running, weight training and an unatural amount of practice on the monkey bars in the local park in Leighton Buzzard, Sunday 25th September saw #TeamAubergine successfully complete their Tough Mudder challenge.

The 12-mile, 28 obstacle mud-covered assault course had brutal challenges that included tanks full of ice to swim through, 20ft high walls to climb, mud-filled pipes to crawl through (aptly named the ‘sewer rat’) a 30ft high swing to leap for a bell hanging above a muddy pit – all done in support of our friends, the charity KidsOut.

Team Aubergine completed the course in a very respectable 3hrs 32 mins and have raised over £1000 for KidsOut who will be able to use the money to help some very disadvantaged kids have a bit of normality in their life by buying them some toys or taking them on a day trip somewhere.

Well done, Mark, Steph, Matthew and James. Amazing work – we’re so proud of you.
